OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the Operations Division is to coordinate and provide assistance to any security forces, agencies or any other local authorities that require RELA personnel to carry out their operations.

FUNCTIONS

I. Operations and Special Assistance Branch

• To coordinate the operations of enforcement agencies
• To process applications and approvals for assignment of RELA operations and special assistance nationwide
• To assist in the implementation of assignments under the National Security Council Directive No. 20
• To assist in the preparation of the standard operating procedure for each special assistance operation and joint operation with departments and external agencies
• To help monitor all operations and operational procedure compliance

II. Security Branch

• To coordinate assignments for monitoring premises
• To process applications and approvals for assignment of RELA security control nationwide
• To monitor assignment of RELA security control at government premises nationwide
• To monitor assignment of RELA security control at non-governmental agencies nationwide
• To help agencies in controlling and monitoring key national target areas

III. Statistics Branch

• To prepare statistics reports on assignment of RELA security control nationwide
• To prepare information on operations, special assistance and security in operations room
• To place officers on duty in the operations room and ensure the operations room assignments proceed smoothly
• To collect data in respect of operations, security control assignments and special assistance
• To analyse and issue daily, monthly and annual divisional statistics reports
