OBJECTIVES
• To increase the efficiency of departmental governance
• To adopt an attitude of outstanding work with strong moral values and ethics, as well as enhance the spirit of patriotism among its personnel
• To restrict criminal wrongdoing as well as violation of the organisation’s code of conduct and ethics among its personnel
FUNCTIONS
a) Implementation of the best governance
To carry out inspection on internal practices, systems and work procedures that give space and opportunity for corruption, abuse of power and misappropriation as well as bureaucratic problems
b) Reinforcement of integrity
To ensure the adoption, institutionalisation and implementation of integrity in the organisation based on work ethics and noble values
c) Tracking and verification
i. To track and verify complaints of criminal wrongdoing as well as violation of the organisation’s code of conduct and ethics, as well as ensure that proper follow-up action is taken; and
ii. To report criminal wrongdoing to the responsible enforcement agency
d) Complaint Management
To receive and take action on all complaints/information on criminal wrongdoing as well as violation of the organisation’s code of conduct and ethics
e) Compliance
To ensure compliance of the laws and regulations for the time being in force
f) Discipline
To perform the function of secretariat to the Disciplinary Board
