Training

1. Will I be required to undergo training or a course?

All new RELA members will have the opportunity to take a two-day introductory course. It is typically held locally/in situ. The course will expose the member to the duties and responsibilities of RELA. Members of RELA may apply to take further courses at any regional RELA training centres.

2.Will I be entitled to leave if I wish to undergo training or accept the assignment organised by RELA?

Pursuant to the provisions of the Government General Order (Chapter C), a civil servant will be considered for unrecorded leave for the purposes of attending training, a course or annual camp organised by any government agency or voluntary organisation approved by the government. This provision is not applicable to persons employed in the private sector.
